Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 6 August 2026
1. Who we are
TCG Pile ("tcgpile", "we", "us") is a Magic: The Gathering collection manager available at www.tcgpile.com and via the TCGPile Companion browser extension. The service is operated by Jose Arnaldos, La Paz 1, 30009, Spain, who is the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at hey@tcgpile.com.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and us. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process your personal data and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 14 years old, or the minimum age required for digital consent in your country of residence, to hold an account. If you are below that age, you may only use the service with the consent of a holder of parental responsibility.
3. The service
tcgpile lets you track your card collection, manage buy and sell lists, build decks, create shareable order sheets, follow other collectors, and view live market prices. Some features are limited to the paid "Pro" plan, as described on our Plans page. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hey@tcgpile.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other users' data, or our systems;
- disrupt or overload the service, or bypass rate limits and security measures;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or its data except as expressly permitted;
- upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content, or impersonate others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
6. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain Pro access until then.
Prices and plan limits may change; we will give reasonable notice of changes that affect you, and they will not apply retroactively to a period already paid for.
EU/EEA right of withdrawal. As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because the Pro subscription is digital content/services supplied immediately, by starting your subscription you expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. Statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded are unaffected.
7. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the collection data and other content you enter. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and process that content solely to provide and improve the service, and to display it where you choose to share it (for example via public links). You can export your data and delete your content or account at any time.
8. Data protection and your rights
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and applicable national law. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. In summary, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
We rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service), your consent (for non-essential cookies and analytics, and optional emails), and our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the service) balanced against your rights.
9. Cookies and usage analytics
We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in; this does not require consent. We also use privacy-friendly product analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) to understand how features are used and to improve the service. Analytics involves non-essential cookies and, for signed-in users, is linked to your account identifier — we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
Analytics runs only with your consent. Visitors are asked via a cookie banner; signed-in users are asked to accept it as part of these Terms at sign-up. You can withdraw your consent at any time — by declining the banner, clearing the consent choice in your browser, or by emailing hey@tcgpile.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal, and does not limit your access to the service. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of tools and retention periods.
10. Third-party data and trademarks
Card names, images, prices, and set data come from Scryfall and marketplace sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data, including prices. Magic: The Gathering and all related marks are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC. tcgpile is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast.
11. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, and branding (excluding third-party card data and your content), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the service except as permitted by law.
12. Availability, disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may modify or suspend it for maintenance or other reasons.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and for loss of data or profits. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer under EU/EEA law. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends and your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change accordingly. For material changes affecting your rights, we will give reasonable notice (for example by email or an in-app notice). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence within the EU/EEA. The competent courts of Spain will have jurisdiction, again without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country.
EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
